Pikes Peak, Colorado

Last year Me and my family went on vacation to Colorado. While driving to Colorado, we drove by a feild of windmills. We went to a place with giant red mountains. One day we went to the top of Pikes Peak, a mountain leveling 14,110ft. The view was amazing, mountains everywhere even snow in the middle of June! We also went to see the Stanley Hotel. While driving back to the motel we were staying in we saw a bear in a tree.

Bottled Memories

If there was an invention that could store memories, I would bottle up a memory of the time my family and I went to Colorado. When we were there we drove on the road that had the highest elevation in the world. The mountain was Pikes Peak. There were many animals there, even in the city, while we were walking around town we saw a moose walking around. It was an amazing trip, we went on hikes and we even saw a bear in the trees! On the last day there we drove to the top of Pikes Peak, 14,114ft!

Thin Ice

One winter day my friend and I were at the creek near West City Park. The water was frozen over so we decided to cross over to the other side of the creek. My friend got over fine, but when I came near the middle of the ice the ice started to crack. When I saw the ice crack I stoped in my track. I didn't know if the ice was going to give in or not, so I moved slowly across the rest of the way. I could tell if the ice broke I would be swept into the freezing water.

Why we should have Veteran's Day off

Why we should have Veteran's Day off is that it is a day to respect and remember our veterans. I think we should have Veteran's Day off because if we have MLK Jr. Day off then we should have  Veteran's Day off too. I don't think that having school on Veteran's Day will educate the students more about the day.

The Woods

One day my friend and I were in the woods. In the woods we were in was a creek. We followed the creek until it opened up into a larger creek which runs under the bridge to West City Park. Near the place where the small creek met the large creek, there was a vine that when you swang on it, it went about ten feet up into the air. When I swang on it, at the peak of its height, I let go but I tried to grab back onto it. I landed on my back and couldn't breath.

Hello my name is Michael Powell. I have a younger brother and a older sister. My younger brothers name is Nathanial Powell, and my older sisters name is Kaitlyn Eye-Miller. My sister is in 12th grade while my brother is in 4th. My brother fell down the stairs twice when he was little.

I have three pets, dog and two cats. My dogs name is Jasper and he is an Australian Shepperd. He is around four years old One of my cats is as old as me, her name is Ginger. She is around 12 years old and is scared of almost everything. My last pet is my cat Chewy, I got him a few weeks before we got my dog Jasper. He has been attacked by our neighbors cat a few times and had holes punctured in him.

I have had experiences with computers for a few years. I would like to know how to run programs and know more about them. I know a few things but not as much as I would like to. It would help me understand how to do a few things.

Minecraft House. (Made up)

The other day I made a house in Minecraft. It was three stories tall and has many windows. I made a pool in the back yard of the house that has a diving board. The house also had a garage. The roof of the house had a chair with an umbrella above it. This is my favorite house I've made so far. It also had a walkway up to the door from th street that the house is on, even a drive way. the driveway has a minecart railway that links up with the road.(I didn't really make it. :3)
