I Love Gymnastics
I love to do gymnastics, even though i'm not actually in gymnastics. I practice at home and I can do a cartwheel, back-bend kick over, round off, handstand, walking handstand, and i'm working on a aerial, back handspring, front handspring, and things with my legs on flexibility. I have been practice for almost three years.

The Adorable Little House
The house is red, green, and tan. The tree has no leave. It looks like it might be old fashion, but it is so cute, and i would love to live their. If it was fixed up a little, then I might live in it. The setting looks like it is in the fall. The house looks kind of haunted. Sometimes I actually don't mind haunted houses,as long as the things that are living their don't try to hurt me. That is if any haunted things live their.

This Summer
I think this coming summer is going to be amazing. For my vacation me and my family are going to Florida for a week. We are going to rent a house by the beach and play at the beach everyday. The house that we are renting is a very big house with a really big pool. I thing Florida will be awesome. I am also getting a new bike for the summer so I can race. This bike is a $500 road bike that my dad and his friend will help build. I am also going to a church camp over the summer for one week. This camp has a big lake we can swim in and is about 200 acres of land. There will be a mountain that we will climb very early in the morning to go and watch the sunset. This camp is the best camp ever.

Kid nation 5
The whole town has their own group like there color groups. Every color is a group of their own and is a very big group. The green group had a session to see who would vote to take over the leader of their group. Every group got together to see who would try and overthrow the group leaders. Everyone is working as a group to win the challenge of the week to find there place.
A lot of the kids are using out-group because of what they are doing with all of the other groups. Some of the kids are trying to overflow there leaders. One of the kids were saying that you're going down and I'm going to win. They were not really nice to the other people and groups by destroying their posters. They are mad at each other if they lose and don't want to talk to anyone. Some are saying that they are better than another group member.
People in the town are using a lot of negative deviant. They are not listening to the council leader. A person destroyed posters from another person because they were mad. Some people have gotten punishments from using negative deviant like more work than they have to do. When this happened they did not listen and everybody was really mad at them.

These kids are using deviant a lot in their town. A kid was tearing a part a girls table while she was selling food for other people. Just because she got them from the cafeteria and they were free he didn't need to destroy everything. Some of the kids are slacking off and not doing their job because they don't want to. Even though everyone else is doing something they are not doing anything.
The kids are using a lot of deviant but they are also showing a lot of deviance. Most of the kids are doing their jobs as well as doing them good. Some people are helping others even though they don't have to. Sometimes they are not the nicest to each other but they can always make up and be nice to each other. They can respect each other and build a great town.
A lot of the kids are using stigma. They are telling girls that they are really lazy and they don't do much for their teams. They just sit around and do nothing or complain if they do have to do something. They also give people the trait of boring because they are always working. They aren't always happy and making people exited. This is show within a lot of people in the town.

Kid Nation 6
The council members used rationalization when they read the book in the church. They where reasoning on what they want to do with all the trash. They also were planning on who was going to work for them and move all of the trash. After the challenge for the week The council decided on the jobs the people will do. They all had to join together and take out trash with everybody else.
A lot of the kids are using conformity in the town. The new council is trying to be more of a leader and run this town with everybody. He tries everything to do his best and fit in with everyone on the council. There is also a girl who is trying to work harder and she was helping the other group members bury trash. From this she earned respect from all of the kids helping to.
Some of the town is showing a lot of cooperation. Some of the group got together and cleaned the trash up in the town and buried it away from the town. They achieved their goal and helped the whole town with the smell. Some of the kids got together and cleaned the dishes even though it was not their job. They cooperated and helped everyone so they have clean dishes.

Kid nation 4
Every kid has showed status set like one of the green girl showed toward her friend. Because all of the kids were fighting over what religion is the best, they showed status set. Even though all the kids believed in different stuff they used status set because they were all friends. There is also two kids in banaza who are close sisters that show status set.
All of the kids have a role in banaza because they all have their own jobs. Every kid has to do different jobs within there job like cooking or doing the dishes. They were put in this city and every kid has played a role in this. Even the council have their role by leading their team through these 40 days.
Through this episode I also saw social interaction. One of the girls brought out a lot of people around a fire to pray. Two people were walking around looking at the cows and bulls. Because the teams all hang out in their bunks, they show social interaction. Whenever the kids eat they all are showing social interaction because they are socializing in a group.

Poor Preseident
I think that this president in not poor at all. Just because he doesn't have a lot of money at all doesn't mean he is poor. he donated most of his whole salary to charity because he cares about his country. I think that he is very rich for doing all of that. Money doesn't have to make anybody rich, its what you do with your life that makes you rich. He is the poorest president out of money but he is richer than any other president because of what he did.

Kid Nation 3
At the beginning of the show the kids used imitation stage because they were drinking like adults. Most of the kids pretended to be drunk. It was like their root beer was regular beer. They also where dinking their root beer like they were drunk and took long swigs like adults would.
All of the town have to use resocialization because the kids have to adjust to a lot of changes. the town council made a curfew for everybody. All of the kids need to adjust to the weather. All of the kids also needed to let go of their families for 40 days and they have adjust to not seeing their parents and friends.
Every kid uses socialization because they are learning how to live with each other. Every group of kids in the town have to learn how to participate with each other. They have to participate in a competition every week. They also learn how to live with one another to try not to fight as much. Every kid should do the job that they are supposed to do with the rest of their group.

Kid Nation 2
The kids all have different beliefs because they had different some wanted to kill the chickens and some didn't. One of the kids did not want to kill the chickens because she thought it was cruel. Most of the kids thought they needed protein to be more active and healthy. Because of this, most of the kids wanted to kill the chickens for fresh meat.
The council also makes laws for the town. Only the cooks and upper class can enter the chicken coop. They also have their own jobs and that they should obey the law and do what they need to. The kids also have laws to not run away from their town or to not run from helping someone. Because they still live in a town laws still exist for everybody.
All of the kids live in a society because they are all in the same area. Most of the kids share common culture because they do the same stuff. there are also a lot of differences between the town. Some kids wanted to kill chickens and some kids thought it was cruel and did not want to kill them. That's how all of the kids show society.

The 4 town counsel kids have power over the other kids. They are able to tell the other kids what to do. They all have the power to give a 20,000 to one of the kids In the town. They also are organizing where everybody sleeps and dinner.
During the first dinner it showed latent function. They first messed up the whole pasta and had to dump out the whole bowl of pasta. When they made the other bowl of pasta it was very mushy and not in its regular form.
A lot of they kids used dramaturgy. Some of the kids were thinking they were going to die from work. Kids that were hungry thought they were going to starve. Some of the kids are complaining because they have to work or help

Dear Mrs. DeBolt,
My favorite movie of all time would have to be Avengers because I love all the super heroes in the movie. My favorite sport is Soccer. I have been playing soccer since I was 3 years old. I have a brother and a sister. My sister is 21 and in the national guard and my brother is 10 and is in fourth grade at the intermediate school. My mom is a teacher at the Festus Elementary School and my dad works at Mississippi lime in the mine.
A few months ago my uncle got really sick and could of easily died but he managed to pull through and live. The doctor suggested to go to a herb store because they would help my uncle. My aunt was going to get the herbs for him on Friday. On the way to the store my aunt felt like someone was with her all of Friday. When she stopped by a gas station to get gas a random lady
walked up to her and told her to get a certain herb for my uncle and a certain herb for her. After she got herself together she left the gas station and got to the store. When she got to the store she asked for a herb for my uncle and the lady said the exact herd that the stranger said. She also asked if they had a herb for her and they said the same ones the stranger said. All of our family was freaked out by this and I think this was a sign from God.
I have a good experience with technology because I have been working on computers my whole life. I think technology is a great subject because I love working with computers. I did have a computer, but ours broke down. I am really looking forward to technology because I think learn more about computers that I don't know
Sincerely,

Violent Games Influencing Kids
Yes, I think that some video games can make more kids violent. I do not think that all video games make kids more violent because not all video games are bad like sports games. Kids become more violent over violent games because the kids are playing the game too much and all of the violence is getting to their head. I think that some kids should settle down on bad video games unless they know they can handle it.

Kid Nation
- There are many many different kids at this place with no parents
- I don't know how well this will go
- The town councils are kids too!
- The wagons are getting harder to push
- After a while the kids are at the town now, it looks empty to me
- It was really cool that they made dinner all together
- Two of the councils are really emotional
- I think the town councils need to be a little more strict and have order.
- Hopefully dividing the kids up will bring a lot more organization to the town
- I thought the blue team would win the showdown, but they came in second
- They finished within the time limit and received a prize
- The prize was either 7 outhouses or a television
- Town councils pick the outhouses, (good choice)
- Yellow team made a really great breakfast, I was a little surprised!
- The teams receive their money
- I would have saved my money if I were them
- Sofia danced for money and got the bike she wanted
- First town meeting
- I don't think the town council leaders should leave
- I did not want Jimmy to go!
- I'm glad Sofia got the gold star, she deserved it
- I think all of the kids are going to work a lot harder
- I think this is a really great experience for the kids and they'll learn many things from it, like leadership, courage, and responsibility.

Thinking of my future

picture from here |
Lately, I've been trying really hard to do things that may benefit me later. Some of these things are getting my homework done, reading, and working really hard with my music and my voice. I am focusing on school things, but right now I'm mainly focusing on the chances of me having a music career.
Singing is one of the few talents that I have and I feel like I could get so far in life with just using my voice. I want to start now by slowly getting into writing my own music, learning more on the piano, and learning how to correctly use my voice. In the past, I've tried writing my own music and it's a pretty tough thing to do! I think the hardest part is writing good lyrics that have a lot of passion and meaning to them. Hopefully if I start all of this now, with the help of my family, I'll be pretty experienced by the time I get out of school.
I really hope this is something I can do when I get a little older.

Something that bugs me.
Something that really bugs me is when people joke about things that are very serious and shouldn't be joked about. For example, when people make jokes about rape, suicide, depression, self harm, etc. These are very serious problems and joking about them is a cruel thing to do. A lot of people in the world, and maybe it's someone you know too, have suffered from some of these things. So, when someone is sitting there making a joke about it, that could really hurt the people who have gone through these things. I think people need to look at what they're saying and think about how it can affect someone else.
A lot of times, if someone is hurt by something someone said, they won't tell someone. That's the problem here. No one is telling people the dangers of their words, and this makes them think that it's okay to do. Joking about a serious issue is NOT okay. If you're hurt or in a time of need, you need to stand up for yourself. Don't let people mock you or tear you down. You have to rise above them and tell them that words hurt; they really do.

Summer

picture from here |
I cannot wait for summer! I'm sick and tired of this cold weather every single day. It feels like winter has been going on for a year. I'm just so excited to be able to sleep in and hang out with friends every single day! I miss swimming, tanning, hanging out, having fun, and watching fireworks! Summer is my absolute favorite time of the year. I miss that feeling of the first swim of the summer. I really hope that this summer will be a lot better than the last one. Since then, I've made a whole lot of new friends! I'll be going to six flags with them all of the time too. One thing I'm really looking forward to doing is going camping with my friend Gabby. We always have a lot of fun when we go camping together. We stay up all night, we go fishing, and sometimes we do a prank on someone. I really hope this is the best summer yet.

Special and Ordinary are Both Ok
The US believes everyone has the right to be special, Europe is saying being ordinary is okay, I kind of agree with both of these statements. I think that it is perfectly okay for everyone to be special in their own way, but it is also fine to be ordinary. I believe that we should be whichever way is most comfortable for us. If we were made to be ordinary, that would take away some of the special things about us. It's the same way the other way around. If someone is ordinary, and doesn't have the type of personality to be "special", then that is perfectly fine. Both of these mindsets are understandable and a good argument. It just depends on the way someone is. A person shouldn't have the right to tell you how you should be, so do whichever way makes you happy. That's all that matters in the end.

My Weekend
picture from here |
Something I'm really excited about is this weekend. On Friday, I'm going to the Walking Dead zombie dance. I won't be dressing up or anything, but I'll be hanging out with my friends. On Saturday, select choir is going to be singing at a festival. I was going to do a solo but I'm a little too scared for that. I'm going to be singing a trio with two other girls in select choir. Now that, I am very nervous about! On Sunday, I'm going to church. I just started going to a church in Arnold called Oak Bridge. My mom and I haven't been to church in a long time, so this is a really great thing for us both! I hope I have a really great weekend as I've planned.

One of Seven Doors

If a voice from above told me to choose one of seven identical doors, I'd pick the door to go to Hogwarts. If I picked this door I would either end up on the train to Hogwarts or I'd appear inside the school already. I would choose to go to Hogwarts because I've always wanted to go to a real Hogwarts ever since I was little, and I would love to be able to use magic powers. I would probably get my own room and broom too. That would be fun to fly around with! If I could choose one thing to receive when I got there it would probably be the cloak that makes you invisible. Harry would use that cloak all the time and sometimes even scare and mess around with people while wearing it. I think that would be fun to do. Hogwarts would be a really fun experience that I'd love to tell everyone about.

I think the one thing I will never forget about being this age is all of the great times I had with my friends. A lot of adults usually don't remember a lot of the friends they made as a kid and all of the things they did together. I wont forget all the times we've gone to the park, the movies, or even the day we both got our first kiss! I share a lot of great memories with my friends and I really do not want to forget any of them. It really brings a smile to my face to think of all the great times I have and who I share them with.

Micro Windmill
Jung-Chih Chiao, is an electric engineering professor. He and his associate Smitha Rao built these tiny micro windmills. The idea of these is to power something, like a cell phone, without having a giant wind turbine.
Despite the small size of the windmills, they are designed to stand against strong winds. Although Chiao will not say how much power each windmill will give, he has said that a few thousand would be enough to power the security of a single family home. These windmills are planned to be sold in packs of 100, and are planned to be used as cell phone chargers. They can charge your phone in case of an emergency to send a quick call or text. These tiny windmills could become life savers.
1. The test was very arduous for the kids who didn't study.
2. She was going to assert her opinion but she was told to not speak.
3. He contemplated her idea while she was telling it.
4. The phone's battery was very durable and lasted all day.
5. You have to put a harness on the horse before riding.
6. We made a snowman on the patent lot.
7. We had a prototype do the experiment first, so we knew how to do it.
8. She had to wafer the box to keep the things from falling out.
9. It was hard to withstand the peer pressure with everyone staring at me.
