Micro Windmill

Jung-Chih Chiao, is an electric engineering professor. He and his associate Smitha Rao built these tiny micro windmills. The idea of these is to power something, like a cell phone, without having a giant wind turbine.
Despite the small size of the windmills, they are designed to stand against strong winds. Although Chiao will not say how much power each windmill will give, he has said that a few thousand would be enough to power the security of a single family home. These windmills are planned to be sold in packs of 100, and are planned to be used as cell phone chargers. They can charge your phone in case of an emergency to send a quick call or text. These tiny windmills could become life savers.
