Kid Nation
- There are many many different kids at this place with no parents
- I don't know how well this will go
- The town councils are kids too!
- The wagons are getting harder to push
- After a while the kids are at the town now, it looks empty to me
- It was really cool that they made dinner all together
- Two of the councils are really emotional
- I think the town councils need to be a little more strict and have order.
- Hopefully dividing the kids up will bring a lot more organization to the town
- I thought the blue team would win the showdown, but they came in second
- They finished within the time limit and received a prize
- The prize was either 7 outhouses or a television
- Town councils pick the outhouses, (good choice)
- Yellow team made a really great breakfast, I was a little surprised!
- The teams receive their money
- I would have saved my money if I were them
- Sofia danced for money and got the bike she wanted
- First town meeting
- I don't think the town council leaders should leave
- I did not want Jimmy to go!
- I'm glad Sofia got the gold star, she deserved it
- I think all of the kids are going to work a lot harder
- I think this is a really great experience for the kids and they'll learn many things from it, like leadership, courage, and responsibility.

Thinking of my future

Lately, I've been trying really hard to do things that may benefit me later. Some of these things are getting my homework done, reading, and working really hard with my music and my voice. I am focusing on school things, but right now I'm mainly focusing on the chances of me having a music career.
Singing is one of the few talents that I have and I feel like I could get so far in life with just using my voice. I want to start now by slowly getting into writing my own music, learning more on the piano, and learning how to correctly use my voice. In the past, I've tried writing my own music and it's a pretty tough thing to do! I think the hardest part is writing good lyrics that have a lot of passion and meaning to them. Hopefully if I start all of this now, with the help of my family, I'll be pretty experienced by the time I get out of school.
I really hope this is something I can do when I get a little older.

Something that bugs me.
Something that really bugs me is when people joke about things that are very serious and shouldn't be joked about. For example, when people make jokes about rape, suicide, depression, self harm, etc. These are very serious problems and joking about them is a cruel thing to do. A lot of people in the world, and maybe it's someone you know too, have suffered from some of these things. So, when someone is sitting there making a joke about it, that could really hurt the people who have gone through these things. I think people need to look at what they're saying and think about how it can affect someone else.
A lot of times, if someone is hurt by something someone said, they won't tell someone. That's the problem here. No one is telling people the dangers of their words, and this makes them think that it's okay to do. Joking about a serious issue is NOT okay. If you're hurt or in a time of need, you need to stand up for yourself. Don't let people mock you or tear you down. You have to rise above them and tell them that words hurt; they really do.

Summer

I cannot wait for summer! I'm sick and tired of this cold weather every single day. It feels like winter has been going on for a year. I'm just so excited to be able to sleep in and hang out with friends every single day! I miss swimming, tanning, hanging out, having fun, and watching fireworks! Summer is my absolute favorite time of the year. I miss that feeling of the first swim of the summer. I really hope that this summer will be a lot better than the last one. Since then, I've made a whole lot of new friends! I'll be going to six flags with them all of the time too. One thing I'm really looking forward to doing is going camping with my friend Gabby. We always have a lot of fun when we go camping together. We stay up all night, we go fishing, and sometimes we do a prank on someone. I really hope this is the best summer yet.

Special and Ordinary are Both Ok
The US believes everyone has the right to be special, Europe is saying being ordinary is okay, I kind of agree with both of these statements. I think that it is perfectly okay for everyone to be special in their own way, but it is also fine to be ordinary. I believe that we should be whichever way is most comfortable for us. If we were made to be ordinary, that would take away some of the special things about us. It's the same way the other way around. If someone is ordinary, and doesn't have the type of personality to be "special", then that is perfectly fine. Both of these mindsets are understandable and a good argument. It just depends on the way someone is. A person shouldn't have the right to tell you how you should be, so do whichever way makes you happy. That's all that matters in the end.
